No School on January 5 and Additional Storm Information

DPW is out clearing roads and we want residents to know that trash, recycling and trees WILL be picked up tomorrow and Saturday, according to the delayed schedule that can be found here: https://melroserecycles.wordpress.com/2018/01/03/no-trash-or-recycling-collection-thursday/

  • The Melrose Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, January 5, due to the continuing inclement weather.
  • The parking ban will be lifted at 6 a.m.
  • Trash, recycling, and Christmas trees will be picked up. Please refer to the revised schedule posted earlier.
  • The Milano Senior Center, the Melrose Public Library, and City Hall will be closed.
  • Please do not snowblow into the streets. By doing so you are creating a safety hazard for our community.
  • Temperatures will be dropping to dangerous levels, so please be careful when going outdoors.
  • In case of an emergency, call 911. All non-emergency calls regarding snow removal should be directed to the Storm Center, 781-665-0142.
