Holiday Paper and Cardboard Recycling

Christmas-WrappingThe DPW Recycling Center at 72 Tremont Street has containers available to recycle holiday cardboard and paper. Feel free to visit the facility Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. to recycle your holiday wrappings and cardboard.

 

 

 

For reminders of what can and can not be recycled, see below.

Please DO include the following items in your paper recycling bin:

  • corrugated cardboard boxes
  • paperboard gift boxes
  • greeting cards (except those with foil, metallic inks, or glitter)
  • gift wrap, gift bags, tissue wrap (except those with foil, metallic inks, or glitter)
  • paper shopping bags (any type of handle is okay)
  • catalogs

Please DO NOT include the following items in your recycling bin:

  • ribbons, bows, and tinsel
  • packing peanuts and Styrofoam (reusable, contact your local pack and ship store)
  • holiday lights (check to see if your community will accept with scrap metal recycling)
  • plastic bags (bring back to most grocery stores for recycling)
